SOOOOOO ... I've completely fallen in love with the designer French Connection =)
I've passed this designer's section in Bloomingdales hundreds of times but never gave it a chance!
..... until today.

Today after getting off work, I decided to check it out because I was eyeing this one dress
for the absolute longest time but never went to try it on.
I wish I had picture from their site of the particular one I fell in love with but all I have is
the picture of when I tried it on in the fitting room :(
In person you can see the color better. It's black with sparkly silver detail and patterns.
The size I'm wearing in my picture is a size 2 but it didn't fit the way I really wanted it to =(
The bottom was so loose! And worst of all ... this dress doesn't come in a 0!
I almost shed a tear at the register when I found out so I had to put it down and not buy it as planned.
Price: $148.00

Now for the dress that I actually bought =D
I picked this dress up on my way to the fitting room to try on the black dress above.
I actually thought I wouldn't even like it but much to my surprise, I'm in love with this dress!
This dress fits amazing!
There are padded shoulders built into this dress (which I was completely feining for),
and also featured a cute little peep hole in the back.
The size I'm wearing in this picture is a 0, and it definitely fit true-to-size.
With a pair of black heels or even a cute little blazer, this dress will do it.
I couldn't resist ....... so I bought it =)
Price: $98.00

Basically, my closet will be seeing more of the French Connection label very soon!
I love how tailored their fits are. Their dresses aren't S, M, or L.
They run with number sizes (0, 2, 4, etc.)

Rihanna hosted her book-signing for her new "coffee table" book entitled, "Rihanna: The Last Girl On Earth"
at the Barnes & Noble in NYC. Her book is said to be featuring hundreds
of never-before-seen pictures of Rihanna as she recorded her album Rated R
as well as her performing all around the world for her "Last Girl On Earth Tour".
Check out what she had to say to MTV about her new book below!

I think it was really special to have behind-the-scenes photos – you know, pictures that the fans haven’t seen before – all together of a very specific moment of my life, an album of my life,” Rihanna told MTV News. “They just get to see all the things that they hadn’t seen that were going on behind the scenes; really cool stuff, not typical. They’re really fun photos. And even for me, when I look at them, they say so much. …. Photos really tell a thousand words.
Fate controls who walks into your life. You decide who you let walk out, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.
This year's GQ Gentleman's Ball featured some of our sharpest men!
Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Nick Cannon, and others put on their best for the red carpet.
Scratch that: Everyone EXCEPT Chris Brown & B.O.B. put on their best for the ref carpet.
Why does they have such an everyday outfit on? Come on -____-
Check out pictures from the event below!

Just had to blog with a reminder of where this damn world is coming to ...

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A north Florida mother has pleaded guilty to shaking her baby to death after the boy’s crying interrupted her game on Facebook. Alexandra V. Tobias pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Wednesday and remains jailed. The Florida Times-Union reports that she told investigators she was angered because the boy was crying while she was playing the game FarmVille. The paper also reports that she told investigators she shook the boy, smoked a cigarette to compose herself and then shook him again. She will be sentenced in December. State guidelines call for 25 to 50 years, but a prosecutor said it could be shorter than that. A telephone message and an e-mail sent by The Associated Press to her attorney weren’t immediately returned.
I was in utter SHOCK when I read this.
There are honestly some sick people in this world. Killing your CHILD over FARMVILLE?
How much more of a sick sadass can you get?
SMH. This is really happening in this world. There are really people out there like this.
A damnnnn shame.

After I saw the review and swatches on Temptalia, I knew in my mind I just HAVE to go get these.

These liners are said to be rediculously smooth with amazing payoff.
There are 5 limited edition colors in this collection:
Black Swan, Lord It Up, Petrol Blue, Undercurrent, and Blackline
MAC is releasing these Pearlglide Eyeliners in stores tomorrow,
and they will be sold for $14.50 each.

From what I see in the swatches, I know they'd make amazing bases for any shadow and
give the color the intensity you would want.

I plan on purchasing the Petrol Blue (middle liner), Undercurrent (2nd from the right), and Blackline
which is the last liner on the right. I have a feeling these are going to be selling like hotcakes
so go to your nearest MAC counter and get yours!
They're also already out online so if you don't feel like making that trip, just go to Maccosmetics.com!

I feel like I will never be able to fully get into this song JUST because of
that horrendous performance she did of this song at the award show.
Your opinions?
Kanye revealed that him and Jay Z WILL in fact be putting out an album TOGETHER.
I honestly can't even begin to think of how insane the album sales are going to be.
I'm lovin' the new Kanye, and Jay Z has always been the greatest so
this is an album worth actually anticipating.
Peep what Kanye had to say about it below:

“We’re putting out a whole album now. We had done five songs so far, but then a few of them kind of were out there – and I put them on my album. Sorry, Jay! We’re going to the South of France at the end of this month just to record new ideas. We’ll probably be done with the album in like a day or whatever. If you think about it, it’s really easy for Jay: He only has to think of, like, 10 verses!”
Rihanna will be covering the upcoming December 2010 issue of Marie Claire Magazine.
In her interview, Rihanna opens up about her relationship with Matt Kemp,
her wake up call, her feelings after the incident with Chris Brown and more!
Below are excerpts from the interview.
For the full interview, be on the lookout for this issue on stands this December!

On Her Relationship With Matt Kemp:
“I feel like I smile for real this time. The smiles come from inside, and it exudes in everything I do. People feel my energy is different. When I smile they can tell that it’s pure bliss and not just a cover up.”

On Her Wake Up Call:
“All this terrible stuff they say to you, it breaks you down. [But] once you’re back on your feet — if you ever make it back on your feet — that’s the ultimate achievement. I remember I was in New York at the Trump Hotel and I woke up and I just knew I was over it. It was a different day. I felt different. I didn’t feel lonely,” she recalls. I felt like I wanted to get up and be in the world. That was a great, great feeling.”

On The Chris Brown Incident:
“God has a crazy way of working, and sometimes when stuff happens you feel like, ‘What did I do to deserve this?’ Why was it backfiring on me?’ But I needed that wake-up call in my life. I needed a turning point, and that’s what God was giving to me.”
Celebrities of all kind came together to do a photoshoot in support of
Keep A Child Alive Foundation's "Buy Life" Campaign.
The campaign is headed by none other than Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz.
Am I the only one who thinks Willow and Jaden Smith look AMAZING here?

Does everyone really know what that word means?
A lot of people are quick to call anyone their friend when in actuality, they're just an acquaintance.
I'll be the first to say that I have very few close friends & a hell of a lot of acquaintances.
I never mix up someone who's an acquaintance for someone who's a close friend.

An acquaintance is a "hi" "bye" "how you been girl?" type of person.
You won't tell them your secrets, they won't know you inside out, and you won't think twice trusting them.

I have a handful of people who I can honestly say that no matter what, I'll always be there for them.
They've been there through my ups and downs, they know things that I would only trust them with,
and I know that they always look out for what's best for me and will tell me when
something I'm doing is wrong or right.
No matter what fights we might get it or have gotten in, I know they're meant to be in my life forever.

No one needs an echo or someone who won't tell you when you're doing something or
in a relationship that isn't healthy for you or your well-being.
Many people push those who say all those things out of love away because they don't
see that it's out of love.

I look at it like that's their loss, not mine.
If you're looking for someone to not tell you when you're changing for the worse, or are acting a fool,
I'm not that person; Never have and never will be.

Choose your friends wisely because when you don't, you end up getting crossed and hurt in the end.

I hate bitches but I will always and forever love mine:
[gvf, lat, sjc, djw, kb, jp, jep] ♥

For those who haven't seen the premiere on TV, here's Willow's official video for her song, "Whip My Hair".
I think the video is entirely too cute and really shows just how talented Willow is.
I don't see her as a one hit wonder kid artist. I see her going far.
Her entire family is too damn talented for her to stop short.
Alicia took to Twitter to talk about how much she's enjoying and completely loving motherhood ♥.
Swizz Beatz then tweeted from his Twitter:

Much love for all the support everybody been showing but I want to shout out my Wife for being bigger then SUPERWOMAN!

I knew Alicia would be so excited to be a mommy.
I feel like her and Swizz make great parents together.
I'm still waiting to see the pictures of their little Egypt! You know my blog will be flooded
with the baby pictures so stay tuned =)

At Kanye's LA premiere for his new film "Runaway", he opened up to his audience about
his past thoughts on committing suicide and how the many people he lost in the past
three years have no inspired him to fear nothing:

There were times that I contemplated suicide. I will not give up on life again. There’s so many people that will never get the chance to have their voice heard…I do it for them. Everything has been taken away from me. I’m so not…scared. I so don’t care.

I knew at some point Kanye had to have at least thought about suicide
because of how publically troubled he was. I never knew it for a fact so for him to come
out and talk about it isn't too shocking for me. I'm glad he's on the "new yeezy" path
because his music is better than ever.

For those who haven't already heard, Alicia Keys finally gave birth!
Her and Swizz now have a new son to add to the edition =)
His name is ........ Egypt Daoud Dean !!
I'm not too sure about his middle name but I love his first!
I can't wait to see actual pictures of the baby. I already know
he is going to be absolutely handsome ♥
Nicki Minaj revealed her cover art for her upcoming album titled 'Pink Friday'.
Her album release has also been pushed UP to November 22nd!
I'm honestly loving the whole Barbie look except I'm
confused as to why her legs are 89475 feet long and
her body and head are so small and not proportionate ...
and where is this girl's arms ????
Ebony Magazine celebrated their 65th year anniversary by doing many
Ebony Tribute covers for their November 2010 Special Collector's Issue.
This issue featured many current artists/celebrities doing their tribute to past Ebony covers.
I think out of all of these, Mary J. Blige did the best tribute!
Any thoughts on who did the best?

After Raz B's failed attempt at becoming relevant by making a video
accusing Rick Ross and Slim Thug of being in the Illuminati and telling them
to go find Jesus, Omarion expressed his strong view on it.
His views included calling Raz B a joke and someone who needs to get his life together.
He isn't lyin'. Raz B has absolutely nothing going for him and hasn't since B2K split up.
You know you're a loser when your own former bandmate won't even say your name in
an interview because he doesn't want you to get any further spotlight lmao.

Listen and laugh.

I've honestly been meaning to let out my rant on how irritating irrelevant ass people can be.
Before I get started, let this be known: this is about as much spotlight
as any irrelevant person will get from me.

Honestly, ever year, every month, ever day, every couple minutes, there's always an irrelevant individual
who seems to always have something to say. If it's not about me and what I do or say, then it's
about someone else who doesn't give a shit about them anyway.

They seem to pop out of the blue and it always gets back to me that they constantly
have something to say about my life.

Answer these questions for me:
Do you mean anything to me?
Have I steadily kept in contact with you?
Have I expressed my dislike for you?
Are you doing anything with your life to qualify to be somewhat relevant?

If you answered 'no' to questions 1,2, & 4,
then do me a favor and sit your irrelevant ass down somewhere.

You mean nothing to me and it will stay that way.
And refrain from referring to me in any conversation, Facebook status, etc.
because remember: you're irrelevant.

If you heard your name was referenced in a conversation by me,
your source lied.
And if you actually were referenced by any slim chance,
it was probably just to acknowledge how irritating your failed public attempts at
staying relevant are to society.

This is the only time you will be acknowledged.
Believe that.

'Tis all .

I was trained to be a soldier for God
But as soon as I used my own thoughts
I kinda got lost in a small called reality
Where hell is a fallacy
And heaven is a fantasy created by man
So don’t believe in it
You came here with nothing
And you leavin’ with nothing
So retreat from this world of deceitfulness
My people it’s time to rise
Realize it’s a heaven whether you think it’s inside
Or in the sky reach for it
Before it’s gone internally
And you’re stuck here below the heavens for eternity …

The more and more I see celebs and even everyday women wearing red lipstick, the more I love the trend!
I never owned any real colored lipstick besides nudes and pinks until just recently.
The first time I wore a deep red lip was the night before my 19th birthday.
My deep red lipstick is NYX's Round Lipstick in 'Hero'.
I think a red lip goes amazing with neutral eye makeup. You don't have to have a face full of makeup,
4597496745 colors on your eyelids, and a crazy busy outfit.
simple is key.
A doctor invented vibes...for "crazy" women.
Yep, the first electrical vibrator (a 40-pound contraption that required two people to operate — not exactly a pocket rocket) was used by a British M.D. treating "female hysteria." He used the tool to bring nervous or stressed women to orgasm. Luckily, a few years later, take-home versions were created.

The infamous Rabbit is shaped like an animal for legal reasons.
The Rabbit (which Charlotte got addicted to on Sex and the City) originated in Japan, where it was against the law to create a sex toy that resembled a penis. Why it's acceptable to make one that looks like a cute animal, we'll never understand. But we're just glad the manufacturers didn't let the government hold them back from creating this beloved buzzy toy.

They're totally recession-proof.
Women may give up mani-pedis in a crappy economy, but not their sex toys! Not only are sales holding steady, but the recession has actually led to an increase in purchases. Online sex toy distributor Adam & Eve reported a 17 percent uptick in purchases in 2009, while sales of the Trojan Vibrating Mini Massager were up 20 percent.

If you don't use one, there's a good chance your roommate does.
According to a recent academic study of vibrator use in America — yes, scientists are paid to research this stuff — one in two women get their buzz on.

And women aren't the only ones buzzing their way to O-Town.
News flash: the commonly held belief that men are a little freaked out by vibrators might not be true. Eighty-one percent of women have brought one into bed with a guy.

V-Day should really stand for Vibrator Day.
Screw flowers and chocolate. Well, actually you can't. And that's the problem. Maybe that's why so many people opt for a sex toy in addition to more traditional February 14th gifts. Babeland's online sales increase 50% in the month of February and according to a recent study, one in five people said they planned to use a vibe with their partners last V-Day.

Women who use one have healthier hoo-has.
You already know that regular O's can lead to a longer life, but one study also found that vibrator users are more likely to have visited a gyno in the past year and have done a down-there visual self-check in the previous month. That might be because a woman who uses a toy learns to be more comfortable putting her nether region on display — either for herself or for her doctor, explains Debby Herbenick, PhD, one of the researchers of the Indiana University study and author of Because It Feels Good: A Woman's Guide to Sexual Pleasure and Satisfaction.

The best-selling sex toy isn't what you'd expect...
What flies off the shelf more than any other pleasure product out there? Lube.
