I completely LOVE the finished product of 'Monster'.
I really do feel like Kanye's videos only get better and better from here.
I love how there were two of Nicki Minaj when her feature came.
Simply creative from beginning to end.

Who classifies Lady Gaga as a bad bitch?
I can't be.
First, you have to take away her moments where she wears unique/borderline freaky costumes.
Now look.
First of all, her body's on point.
Secondly, she has a big ass.
Third, she has a big ass.
& Lastly, she does have a really pretty face/
But so many people can't look past the insane person she is lmao.

We could have the garbage truck driver who treats us good and cooks, and really just fall in love with him. Or we can have the guy with millions of dollars, and he’s a f*cking dick. I think women want a man with money, but sometimes they get one and realize he’s just a man with money.

It seems to me the only thing that matters, the only thing that’s even real, is the here and now. And some stuff is important and some stuff isn’t, and I guess time is the only thing that can sort out which is which. That just means, the more we live in the present, the more we store up all the memories, good and bad, the more we have to hold onto once people, places, and things are gone. Because believe me, I speak from experience when I say things can change forever with, like, no warning. So no matter how much you love something or no matter how much you take it for granted, nothing lasts forever. So for now, all we can do is hang on and wait and see and hope…for the future.

One thing that I wanted to get accomplished by March is
owning a nice collection of most, of not all, of NARS' blushes!
I work in Bloomies, and am always at the MAC counter buying.
Never did I turn around to see that NARS was like two stations away!

Teyanna Taylor is a bad bitch. Not even arguing with that.
But who would've thought that out of this gorgeous female ...
would come a deep ass voice?

I know too many dudes who would smash ...
as long as she never spoke =X lmao

Poor Tey and that deep ass voice.
It's okay, you still badddddddd ♥
While she reigns supreme as H.B.I.C. over the hip-hop landscape, Nicki Minaj grants us permission to enter her sexy kingdom. Yes, it’s the Harajuku Barbie’s world, and we’re just tickled pink to be living in it.
KING: History has shown that acting is the likeliest transition for rappers. Considering your background, do you want to dabble in Hollywood?

NICKI MINAJ: Of course.

KING: What would be your dream role?

NICKI: I'd like to play someone in a Tim Burton movie, where I get dressed up and painted and crazy.

KING: You kind of do that now.

NICKI: Then I want to be able to do some action stuff, like Angelina Jolie.

KING: Like in Salt?

NICKI: Yes! And then I’d like to just play a regular girl who, you know, is facing the world. Something really sentimental and organic, that girls all around the world can identify with. You know, how Jada Pinkett Smith did in Jason’s Lyric.

KING: Classic film. You did mention earlier how everything has been time consuming. But when that time frees up, what kind of guy do you look for to be sentimental and organic with?

NICKI: Um, I look for someone who is calm, someone who is strong enough to not have to win every argument, someone who allows a woman to be her crazy self and someone with a conscience not to feel less of a man. You know, someone who is able to honor his woman but also bring out the freak in his woman.

KING: How should your Ken bring out the freak in you, Barbie?

NICKI: Just being super aggressive when the time is right.

KING: Are we talking about Mortal Kombat–style “Come here” aggression?

NICKI: Just something that makes me feel like they’re in control, when we are behind closed doors.

Nude Sweetheart Bustier Wrap Dress

I'm beginning to truly love bustier-style dresses. When I came across this dress, I knew I had to feature it as a Retail Pick of The Day. This dress features a sweetheart bustier-styled bodice with a black meshed material that is draped as a second layer to the bottom. The light pink color is absolutely gorgeous against the black.

Price: 72.00

'The Hills' star Heidi Montag recently opened up to Life & Style Magazine
about her many regrets regarding her infamous multiple surgeries.
She also decided to reveal some of her hideous scars that came from those surgeries.
She honestly looks so pathetic on the cover ... like a sad puppy =/

Heidi sits down with Life & Style for an exclusive interview and photo shoot to share the unglamorous aftereffects of her plastic surgery, one year later.

Heidi Montag was seeking perfection when she famously underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in November 2009. Now a year later, Heidi reveals her operation-room battle wounds for the first time to Life & Style.

"Parts of my body definitely look worse than they did pre-surgery," she told Life & Style exclusively at a photo shoot on Dec. 2. "This is not what I signed up for."

The former Hills star reveals a series of unsightly scars, red inflammation and uneven body parts including: a 2-inch-long raised blemish under her chin from her chin reduction, two caterpillar-size bald spots along her hairline from a brow lift, a horrifying jagged line behind her ears from having her ears pinned back, lumpy legs and four spots left on her lower back and below the buttocks from botched liposuction, a bright-red mark inside her right nostril, uneven boobs, a stretched mark on her chest and deep scars around her nipples from a second boob job.

"The big dark mark from my chin reduction is probably the most noticeable. But the absolute worst is on my breasts, and the scariest is below my butt cheek," Heidi tells Life & Style.

"People have fewer scars from car accidents than I have on my body."

Heidi says the scars are constant reminders that she made a big mistake.

"I would love to not be ‘plastic girl’ or whatever they call me. Surgery ruined my career and my personal life and just brought a lot of negativity into my world. I wish I could jump into a time machine and take it all back. Instead, I’m always going to feel like Edward Scissorhands."

Be wary of friends-they will betray you more quickly, for they are easily aroused to envy. They also become spoiled and tyrannical. But hire a former enemy and he will be more loyal than a friend, because he has more to prove. In fact, you have more to fear from friends than from enemies.
If you have no enemies, find a way to make them.

Any good car owner knows that taking a vehicle in for regular maintenance is essential to keeping it running smoothly. Every 3,000 miles you diligently take your baby in for an oil change. Unfortunately, some guys are applying the same method to their sex lives.

Though you might treat your ride almost as well as you treat your girlfriend, a woman is not a car and regularly scheduled servicing is not going to be enough to keep her purring. Here are some hints that you may have started to think of sex with your girlfriend like a trip to the shop for an oil change. For the record, this is a bad thing and means that you need to step up your game. What’s good for your car is not always what’s good for your sex life.

You Have Sex On A Regular Schedule
The first sign that you might be treating sex like an oil change is that you have a schedule for when you get busy. Whether it’s only on Fridays and Tuesdays or always right after the news, if you have it penciled in to your calendar, you’re really missing out on one of the best aspects of sex: spontaneity. Consistency is important for your car, but it will quickly start to bore your girl in the bedroom.

To break out of this rut, force yourself to be spontaneous. Grab her and start making out with her when she least expects it. If random groping in the kitchen while doing dishes together isn’t your style, you can try planning to initiate at a time other than when you’re used to doing it. Try morning sex for a change or spend an entire Sunday in bed.

The Sex Lasts As Long As An Oil Change
Doing an oil change in 10 minutes is something to advertise, but if your sex sessions are lasting a similar amount of time, you have nothing to brag about. A quickie every once in a while can be fun, but sex should last longer than the time you have to wait for the mechanic to service your car.

To stretch it out a bit, make sure that you devote the first 10 minutes to foreplay. Don’t be a dipstick and jump straight to the penetration. This way you’ll be able to draw the sex out to an acceptable length of time.

You Follow A Standard Procedure
You know you’re treating sex like an oil change when you have the procedure down to a science -- what kind of foreplay, which positions, how you orgasm, etc. It may be a tried-and-true method, but it’s also likely to get boring after a while.

Break out of your routine by trying out a new position. It will surprise your girlfriend and bring a new sense of excitement to your lovemaking. If that doesn’t work, there are a plethora of other ideas to shake up your sex life, many of which can be found here on AskMen. Get creative and make some changes.

Beyond The Oil Change
Regular oil changes won’t do you any good if you don’t pay attention to the rest of your maintenance schedule. Just like you take your car in to get the tires rotated or the air filter changed, so should you tend to your girlfriend’s other needs. Being a good all-around boyfriend means harmony in your relationship and better times in the bedroom.

She’s not a Ferrari. She’s better.

For those of you who can't read it, it says "Mrs. Harris".
What Tiny fails to realize is that most of America knows exactly who she is.
We know you're T.I.'s wife.
Why do you need to write it on your hand?
Naomi Campbell's hair (or lack there of) was exposed by Miami winds this past Wednesday.
Supermodels shouldn't be allowed to have edges looking like this.
With all the money in the world, nothing could be done to fix this?
gahhhhhhhhhhhhdamn.
2010 is coming to an end and 2011 will be here!

I absolutely cannot wait for a new year. I have always equated a new year as a fresh start.
That's not to say that everyone has to wait for January 1st to come in order to have a fresh start but
there's just something about the first day of an entirely new year that just screams "fresh start".

2010 honestly was filled with moments of hell, but also moments of absolute joy.
So many good things have happened in 2010 that I will never ever forget.
And sure enough, a good amount of bad has happened as well that I won't ever forget.

I'm not waiting for January 1st to hit in order to make changes or make decisions that will be life changing.
It's already starting now and will be complete when/after the new year hits.
I'm excited actually. I feel there's so many big things that are lined up for me.

I believe God would never give me anything I cannot handle.
I believe he trusts and believes I can handle anything that is given.

Are you ready for 2011?
Clearly not your everyday family Christmas picture lol.
Everyone looks so GORGEOUS. Mason looks like he's in the Baby Mafia!
Khloe looks the best out of the 3 older sisters. Who agrees?
This by far might be the most rediculous invention yet.
I mean, it is genious, but no one nigga who sags his pants is wearing that ....
without feeling foolish lmao.
At one point everyone was trying to ban sagging.
Now a white man created an invention that still enables it?
Wait ... what's going on right now lmao
Who is spending their money and time on this man?
The first song he did was funny.
But this ... right here ... is not.
You be the judge.

Coastal Scents was having their 50% Black Friday sale (I believe)
And of course I jumped on it at midnight on the dot =D
First up are two Coastal Scents Gel Liners I bought in "True Black" and "Stellar".
"True Black" is just a regular black liner that I needed another of because
the one that I have is almost finished! It's such a nice creamy consistency but not too creamy that it runs.

"Stellar" turned out to be an amazing color.
It looked silver until I swatched it and it turned into a gorgeous black with silver and gold flecks!
I'm completely in love with this gel liner.
I will post a better swatch when I get natural lighting because it didn't come out as black as it really is.
Retail Price: $6.95 each

Hey guys!
I'm currently trying to revamp Sugar & Retail!
You'll see the layouts changing until I get it right lmao.
Check back soon!

* UPDATE *
I finally settled on a new layout! (For now lol)
In order to semi-condense longer posts so you don't have to scroll for hours,
I've started using the "READ MORE" feature.

I decided to dig back into a palette that I haven't used in a while!
Here's a greenish/gold look I did using my 'Ludwig' palette by tattoo artist Kat Von D.
It came out more gold than how it really is in person but ahh well, still pretty =).
I absolute LOVE the palette. I've had it for the longest time and never dip into it like I used to.
The colors are so pigmented, especially the color 'Lucifer' which is the darkest black out here!
I definitely recommend everyone getting her palettes. They're THE best investment.
Payoff, pigment, and quality = A+++++++++++++++++++++++

For every action, there was an opposite reaction. But maybe you could undo your wrongs by keeping someone else from making the same mistakes of misjudgement.” - Jodi Picoult ♥
To My Followers & Readers,

I know, this is yet another time where I've been slightly mia from frequently posting =(
I'm really sorry. I swear, when I think I really do have time on my hands, it always turns out to be wrong.
I've been so busy lately with school and life in general!

You'd think I'd have all the time on my hands to blog during my little Thanksgiving break but not at all!

Let The Updates Begin:
  • Thanksgiving was amazing! Being home was amazing! I didn't realize how much I missed it until I actually got home. This Thanksgiving I actually helped with damn near everything that my mom had on her list to make. I enjoyed all the family that came over. A house full of little cousins was chaotic but fun at the same time! I stuffed my face from beginning to end =)
  • BLACK FRIDAY = SUCCESS!!! I was really feigning for Black Friday this year (don't even ask me why). Me, Gi, & Kira were out at 4AM that morning and made it back by like 9AM. We were serious about our shopping. We knew where we wanted to go, what we wanted to buy, and got everything. What helped was the massive online shopping I did when Midnight hit because many of the stores had sales that started at Midnight on Black Friday! I'm currently awaiting makeup and shoes from my online orders. I came back home from physically shopping with 4 pairs of shoes, clothes, and jewelry. *sigh* just hype off my purchases that day lmao.
  • I honestly had to make another bullet just to talk about the kind of spending I've done over this little Thanksgiving break. I've spent soooooooooooooooooooooooo much money, it's actually quite sickening. Now I'm forcing myself to cut back on spending once Monday hits. I need to give my credit card and debit card a break from the massive swiping that took place this weekend =(

Future Posts On Sugar & Retail:
  1. Yet another cosmetics haul post - I'll be putting up pictures, descriptions, & reviews for the new makeup I purchased and am waiting to come in sometime this week from CS & MAC.
  2. More LOTDs (Look Of The Day) posts - I already have one look that I've done using Kat Von D's makeup palette. I'm sure there will be more throughout this coming week that I'll be doing so stay tuned for when I throw those posts up!
  3. More posts with my retail picks will be going up! I haven't done them as frequently as I used to but I promise they'll start up again =)
  4. Shoegasm posts will be coming back!
  5. Clothing Haul posts - I've done more shopping than a little bit -___- lmao. Be on the look out for pictures, prices, and more!
  6. Sporadic Vlogs will be posted =D For those who don't know what a vlog is, it's like a blog post except video form. So many amazing bloggers/makeup gurus do so, so I figure I need to begin as well!
  7. I've been asked to do some posts that are geared for guys and no worries, I will be doing so whether that be retail-wise, advice-wise, or whatever the case may be.
& I think that's about it!
Stay tuned for everything! Thanks for those who keep checking back on my blog consistently
even if I don't post as frequent as I used to. You guys are amazing!

xoxo,
yours truly ♥

I knew Diggy had swag but I honestly didn't know it was like THIS.
This is really the first time I'm watching Diggy rap and this boy really has swag when he's rapping!
His voice matured so much from 'Run's House' lmao. SO much.
Diggy has a ridiculous amount of potential.

I just hope he has the right people around him that know what to do with it.

Rihanna opened up the 2010 America Music Awards with a 3 song performance.
I had to post this because I really do think this is one of Rihanna's best performances yet.
Her voice is on point with the track, she's workin' it on stage, and everything just ran so smoothly.
Watch and love =)

Rihanna covered the new December 2010 issue of Interview Magazine and was
interviewed by none other than Kanye West himself!
Kanye proved to be such a weird interviewer. Along with being that,
he proved to be one who creates awkward moments while interview lmao.
I can't be the only one who thought some of his questions were random and awkward.

Continue reading for the entire interview & magazine scans!

Am I really the only one who said "wait .. whatttt?" to Nicki Minaj's outfit and hair
when she went on 106&Park to promote 'Pink Friday'?
I love Nicki Minaj BUT when she is looking tacky and crazy, I just have to say something.
I've said it time and time again: WHO is her wardrobe stylist? And why aren't they fired?
Who picks out her wigs or does them? They should be fired and blacklisted as well.
The dress is clearly too small. She's busting out of it.
Why would anyone in her camp let her walk out on stage like that?
This is all annoying. ugh. goodbye.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Rachel Zoe announced on Twitter that her and her hubby Rodger Berman are expecting their first child!
She's currently 3 months pregnant!

Hey everyone! I want to officially confirm to my loyal friends and followers that I am pregnant! I feel great, Rodger and I are beyond excited.

After her season finale of her show when she was talking about the whole pregnancy thing,
I prayed to God that she got pregnant because Rodger wasn't sticking around much longer.
Plus, she needs a child to carry out her legacy, without a doubt.

Congrats Rachel!

I'm completely in love with this nude combat boot Forever 21 has come out with!
It features a wooden stacked platform with a 5 inch heel.
The lace-up military-like detail on this shoe along with the peeptoe
definitely set this shoe apart from the rest.
This shoe can go with super skinnies with a military-like jacket to complete that particular look.

I will definitely be making this purchase asap!
This is a must-have addition to my closet.

I went to go see this movie with my girls after much hype and persistence from my own mother!
I must say that this movie was AMAZING.

I absolutely loved it.
I completely loved how each character had recited a poem when they went through
their life-changing moment. Every poem that was recited was deep and nothing short of moving.

There were so many aspects of this film that I didn't see coming! And that is something about
this movie that I love. I hate predictable films, and this one was no where near predictable.

SO much was going on in this film and it actually had me saying "OH MY GOD!" in the middle
of the movie theater lmao.

I can't even truly go in-depth like I want to in this review because I don't want to spoil it!
BUT I do think that EVERY woman (you don't have to be colored) should go see this movie!
I definitely left the theater with a different mindset just coming from this movie.
For those who cry at a drop of a hat, this movie will have you balling lol.
