Meet the designer ...

Me: Tell everyone who you are
Dea: My name is Dea Pierre, raised in Brooklyn. I have an older brother who was my role model growing up, he wrote so I did to, he drew so I did too, he listened to music so I did too. But art stuck with me as I got older, in high school I got into and completely fell in love with graphic design. I taught myself how to work photoshop and paintshop programs and soon got into web design. Art stuck with me though because I have a vast imagination, but even graphic designing wasn't enough, so I decided to take all my ideas and make a brand off of it. Everything I do was all self taught, I'm always thinking at the speed of light so each and every I learn something completely different or something to improve a skill I've already developed. I was a very silent child withing my family, I grew up using art to express myself. So now that I'm older I've taken that trait and expanded on it as an outlet to reach everyone not just those close to me. 

Me: What exactly is your line about? What was your inspiration?
Dea: My line is called 34D after my bra size, I had spent weeks trying to think of a name until one day I was talking to them (my boobs) and my friend said "name your line after your breast" and I went "you know what..why not?". And with the come about of my lines name its meaning came about as well. 34D is catchy, and who doesn't think about boobs? Hince the thought bubble as a logo, and pablo picasso had a saying, "people see things and ask why, I see things that can be and ask why not?", a lot of ppl ask me "why name it 34D? Why is this perverted? Why isn't this censored?" And I reply "why not?"


My line is real no holds barred, no censorship, impolite, perverted and just me-ish lol. I've always had an overactive imagination and I've always been talkative, so I grew up with ppl constantly reminding me I'm to be seen and not heard, so my line is something that is to be seen, like really seen, my shirts will make you stare and do a double take. My designs are risky and out there, but they're not in poor taste, they're art, I have visions in my head and all I do is work to get it out and on a shirt. 


So that's what my line is about, whether every item sells, whether ppl are disgusted by it vulgar nature  one thing is for sure, my line will be the topic of discussion, it will be in your thoughts. Anyone who knows me knows I talk about any and everything, I want my works to give people the same attitude, my line promotes openness. Like come on, who hasn't seen a pair of breast? From birth they're thrown in your face, so why can't I throw them on a shirt? Lol.
